  Review of Gildan Heavyweight 5000: Cheap basic t-shirt with a wide range of colors

The Gildan Heavyweight T-shirt is the most readily available affordable wholesale t-shirt on the market in the widest array of colors for the price. The shirts are made of 18-single open-ended cotton which is not as soft as the Hanes Beefy T, American Apparel or Ringspun Alstyle, but the price reflects the value with using this thread count. The cut is that of a basic t-shirt, boxy and full, yet uniform in quality. This is the basic American tee shirt from years past, over-sized for the meat-eating market and perfected for price generic design.

The Gildan Heavyweight is a decent quality shirts although the trendy markets have moved away from this type of garment it is perfect for an inexpensive promotional t-shirt and it won't hurt your pocket book. These shirts screenprint in the standard fashion with basic tee shirt inks. The design is what matters the most in many situations and the benefit of this shirt is that you can always lower the price and still get some of your money back if you have to sell them cheap.

I am surprised by the number of colors that are available in this shirt and it is hard to tell ahead of time which Carribean or South/Central American country the label is going to identify as the manufacturer, but because Gildan is an international brand I don't think they are risking their business by using contractors in foreign countries, however, I don't have enough information to say this is 100% true. These are also available in youth sizes, as well as, up to 5XL in some colors, but we can't offer all of these on this page for technical reasons.
