 Is is a Raccoon, or a dog or a bear? No it's an Olinguito and it is a new animal that researchers announced Thursday. This is a rare discovery of a new species of mammal called the Olinguito and although it may not be in your area it has roamed the Mayan jungles of South America in plain site for millions of years. This bear like animal is reddish-brown animal and is only around 14 inches long with a long tail and weighs only one kilo when full grown. It does belongs to a grouping of large creatures that include dogs, cats and bears, but it could take a chunk out of any one of those, so don't plan on keeping one as a pet.
