Company Profile: (Scroll down this page to check out their items or use the pull-down menu for bulk pricing).Ok, I can't get a straight answer, or any answer about their social policies on the Hanes websites, but whenever I need a decent shirt at a good price I can find a Hanes product that will fit the bill. Hanes is the largest supplier of blank t-shirts to the t-shirt printing industry and there are two basic styles, the affordable Hanes Heavyweight T-shirts (limited color selection) and the Hanes Beefy-T a durable soft premium shirt. Although Hanes is a super big American corporate company, possibly owned by Sara-Lee and her respective "shareholders", their shirts aren't "Made in the USA" and they are often labeled from countries like Haiti, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, etc... Since they often say, "Assembled in XYZ country" I think that means that other parts of the garments are made or processed somewhere else. I've often heard that the cotton may come from our very own subsidized USA cotton farmers, which makes these shirts the ultimate World Trade product. Since the USA is also the world's largest t-shirt consumer we are getting what we are willing to pay for with these shirts and as such there are people being employed at all levels of the product chain from printing to shipping, so everybody gets to put a little food on their plate when you go global. Including you if you save a few bucks on the shirts you need for your print job. I've personally been selling Hanes shirts for a thousand years, at least that's the way it feels and the Hanes Heavyweight is not super soft, but it is still a well-made garment and you can't beat it for the price and availability. The Authentic Tee is also cheap and there are more colors, as well as, the Gildan Ultra is a "World Market" shirt that is durable, cheap and has a lot of colors. These shirts are sized for the Meat eating American public so order them the size that you want them to be. If you want them to be fashionable, just order a size smaller than you would normally wear.
